Today was eventful [ish]! I learned how to make supports to hang historic clothing and I found a mummy. Ta da.
The dress in question [ghost dress] has been laying on a table awaiting attention, quite patiently, for a while. When we needed the table today she finally got it. [Why do I personify artifacts?] She is a wedding dress from the late 1800s [I think] and needed supports for the skirt portion of her so she could hang with her other wedding dress friends. Its gotta be lonely back there....
Here we have a police [person] man's cap with its protective rain cover. Kinda cute if you ask me. But you didn't.
Here is ghost dress getting stitched up for hanging. Note the rib cage-likeness of her insides. Oooo creeptown....
I guess this is the good one. No, not the other one. This one.
I didn't get a better picture of her. I don't know why. But this dress holds its form like there is a person in there. I know that dresses were very structured back then, but come on, Ghost Dress, you are giving me goose bumps.
As promised, the TIGER... he is a rug but I think it just adds to his charm. Sorry he is in plastic. He really just needs a hug.
ALSO. "Mummy hands and feet".
Yep.
I just thought this was really cool. Thats really all.
Happy Thursday kids.
